I Don’t Need You

Each day I storm through emotions holding back tears as I regret my decision of cutting you out of my life. At first, my ideas of intoxication appeared as a way of attacking you. Risking myself would be a mechanism of concealing pain, and also hopefully causing you to sit for once and think about our lives and how we affect each other. But then it hit me… The single thing that would hurt you most, would be to give you something you would be proud of. Rather than risking myself and what I’ve built, why don’t I fortify twice as much for myself and others to prove that I’m better off without you. 

You lost me this time, and I finally feel sorry for you.
